Special Attractions and Activities Nearby

Hermione Cottage is just 20 scenic minutes from Rotorua, via Buried Village, Green and Blue Lakes, native New Zealand forest and Rotorua's famous Redwood Forest...wonderful for walking and biking. http://www.treewalk.co.nz/en_US/ Don't miss Rotorua's fabulous gondola and Goverment Gardens! ....and some of our feedback! Hello Jennifer, Just a quick thank you for a most magnificent stay. We loved the beautiful care and attention to the place and garden also. Very inspiring. Also thanks for the welcome vino! Wow! Most kind. Kind regards Melissa The neighbours were fantastic too. Talked to a few of them, friendly and help out without even asking. The section is flat, the view is great, the boatramp a stones throw away (so I can leave my wife the car when I'm out fishing) the house is warm, comfortable, single story, a great selection of books and cd's, the fireplace is amazing and has a kiddy guard, the beds are comfortable, the lounge suite to die for (gotta love the recliner chairs), the crockery first class, the vaccuum cleaner is even flash!, there's plenty of firewood, boat jetty to tie up to, fish smoker, bbq, decks to relax on, quiet street for the kids to play, etc etc... all of these things add up to a relaxing enjoyable stay and the best we have ever experienced. And to top it off, even though the fishing was hard, I managed to work out what the trout were taking and landed 10 trout with my 5 yr old son helping out. So its smoked trout for tea tomorrow. I had a couple of friends call in who were staying down the road and friends from Taupo drop in for a coffee and they all want to book it now, hence us booking ahead for next year. Thanks very much for the effort you've gone to with the holiday home."

Fabulous place to stay we couldnt have asked for a better place, clean, tidy and oh so relaxing. We are already discussing when we can return for another stay. Ideally situated on the lake front next to the boat ramp, our 3 grand children had a great time kyaking and fishing for tiny fish in the stream, they didnt want to leave and neither did we.
Response from Owner
