Beautiful, peaceful location near a reserve - and not far to the lake. Everything you need for a family time (or couple time as we had). Relaxing, fun evenings playing card and board games (supplied). Even in the middle of winter the place was lovely and warm with the heat pump. We had a wonderful relaxing few days there with our dogs. The fencing was not up to our escape artists standards - suit a dog who doesnt jump.. Aside from that, this place was perfect. Would recommend. And we hope to be back one day.

9 of us stayed here for an extended Queens Birthday weekend family get together. We ranged in age from 16 to 76. We were all comfortably accommodated here and there was plenty of room in the living area which opens out onto a fantastic sunny outdoor area. The house is cheerfully decorated and a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities are provided. The kitchen is very well equipped and we had no trouble producing gourmet meals for nine. The location is great, right next to a reserve and only a short walk to the lake. Don't worry about going in winter as there is a very efficient heat pump and panel heaters in the sleepouts. A great property for a lovely relaxing stay at beautiful Lake Tarawera.
