Stroll down the short private path under the beautiful ponga fern tree canopy to the flat lake edge and a sandy swimming beach. Less than 100 metres in one direction is the Stoney Point Boat Ramp, playground, picnic BBQ area, car parking; the other way is the shared lakefront pumice based Tennis Court and Walking Tracks.

This was the third stay as a group of friends and it was as good as ever. The house has everything you need with a well equipped kitchen. Beds are excellent and sofas are great. As always the highlight is the spa pool looking out to Lake Tarawera and the pizza oven. Freya is a excellent host and any issues are dealt with in timely manner. We will be back again
