About this Holiday House

Originally the school Principals house before the school closed down.. Situated on the Kaikoura coast in the beautiful Clarence Valley 30 minutes north of Kaikoura. Immediate access to the great outdoors....fishing at the river mouth..viewing the seals .great bike rides on the valley road..walks down to the river..easy access to the Kaikoura activities..the famous Kekerengu Store 20 minutes.. coffee at the beach cafe 5 minutes ..or just enjoying the peace and tranquility of the Valley .

Kekerangu store cafe 20 minutes up coast for meals or Karaka cafe 5 minutes away at beach. Visit seals 10 minutes down the coast. Kaikoura 30 minutes with all its activities. Surfing at Maungamanu. Awesome farm walks.

We loved our stay at The Woodbank School House. The accomodations is quiet, cosy and comfortable meaning we felt at home straight away. Having the fire made ready to light warmed the place in no time. We appreciated the Early cheer flowers and walnuts left for us on the kitchen bench. Pantry provisions enabled me to cook some of the heritage apples up for turnovers, super-delicious! These little touches mean we anre keen to return. Our dog loved the local walks as did we. Thank you to all who made our stay so wonderful.
