Special Attractions and Activities Nearby

Only a 5 minute drive to Gore Bay Beach for great surfing and fishing. Picnic areas and play area for children. Dogs allowed on the beach. Only 10 minutes drive to the Hurunui River Mouth for great fishing. A quick 2 minute drive away, Manuka Bay Beach offers a quieter stretch of beach and coastal walks. Only a 10 minute drive to the Cheviot Domain for fantastic walks where dogs on leads are welcome Only 15 minutes drive away is the Cheviot township with all manner of cafes, a well equipped 4 Square Supermarket, Harris Meats, Library, Gift Shops and a friendly Cheviot welcome! Please note the home is very quiet part of a farm with only the chooks for company, occasionally the farm cat and possibly the two super people and animal friendly farm dogs (if we are around). There are steps down from the parking area to the holiday home. Sadly not suitable for disabled.

We had a very relaxing, enjoyable three-night stay in your lovely wee cottage. Favourites were the view, the Stanley wood stove for heat, great water supply, and the very comfortable, warm queen bed. Thank you for the eggs.

I had a wonderful stay. The home was spotless, peaceful, and enjoyed incredible ocean views. It was the perfect mid-winter break, with the cosy fireplace making the evenings extra special and the deep bath providing the ultimate place to relax and unwind. I left feeling refreshed and already looking forward to returning.

Absolutely amazing stay ,such a beautiful location . ,short drive to the beach,nice to have the wetback fire on a cold winters night ,was very cosy .We had everything we needed for a nice weekend stay,even a wee visit by the resident dog for some tummy rubs .Thanks again !
