Special Attractions and Activities Nearby

Only a 5 minute drive to Gore Bay Beach for great surfing and fishing. Picnic areas and play area for children. Dogs allowed on the beach. Only 10 minutes drive to the Hurunui River Mouth for great fishing. A quick 2 minute drive away, Manuka Bay Beach offers a quieter stretch of beach and coastal walks. Only a 10 minute drive to the Cheviot Domain for fantastic walks where dogs on leads are welcome Only 15 minutes drive away is the Cheviot township with all manner of cafes, a well equipped 4 Square Supermarket, Harris Meats, Library, Gift Shops and a friendly Cheviot welcome! Please note the home is very quiet part of a farm with only the chooks for company, occasionally the farm cat and possibly the two super people and animal friendly farm dogs (if we are around). There are steps down from the parking area to the holiday home. Sadly not suitable for disabled.

Absolutely wonderful stay, peaceful with wonderful views and birds singing and friendly fan tails. The pretty cottage is very warm and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Shower pressure is great with nice hot water. And beds very comfy. Hope to be back one day.

Lovely cosy place with outstanding views. A great place to visit the beaches and watch the sunrise and set.

Just like the other reveiws said - a lovely place and friendly helpful hosts. Its certainly a perfect place to chill and reflects great care and thought in its design and layout. So lovely be able to bring fur family as well.Thanks for a wonderful stay -will be back again!
