About this Holiday House

A warm cosy two story bach, with a large outdoor deck and unimpeded view of the Lighthouse and open sea. The upstairs is child proof with gates on both sets of stairs. Easy access to the basin, reef, Lighthouse and Castlerock, all only a few minutes walk away. The single bed is in the entry hallway. The Lighthouse is also directly behind the Castlepod (also available to rent) so great for a couple of families or extended family.

Special Amenities

The Lighthouse has a wonderful view out the front of the lighthouse and sea, it is a very sunny house getting all day sun. The large deck has a gate so children are enclosed and internal stair access can also be blocked. Easy access to the wide long beach out the front and also the Gap, Reef and Basin. It also has a spectacular view at night of the lighthouse lite-up with ever changing colours !

The Lighthouse is close to surfing at the Gap, the lovely picturesque walk up Castlerock and the Lighthouse, safe swimming in the basin for children, Pauaing at at Mataikona 10 minutes away and golf at Whakataki 5 minutes away, Castlepoint has spectacular scenery and ever changing sea views.

Lovely bach on a stunning coast. The lighthouse is a very cozy, warm and comfortable home, it is set out very well and has everything you need. The owner was extremely easy to deal. Would definitely recommend to stay.

Great location - close to the cove and the lighthouse. Excellent shower with good water pressure and hot water. Large upper deck gives you a lot more living space. Carefully child-proofed to stop toddlers falling down stairs or out of windows. Easily heated during winter with a couple of electric heaters and held the heat most days due to sunshine. One row back from the beach but excellent views of the lighthouse. Well set up for a get away from it all holiday.
