Original 1950’s batch, absolute beach front with amazing views of the lighthouse and bay from the front living room. The Sea Shanty is an ideal place for families to holiday with a safe swimming beach directly across the road. From the batch there are great walks to the lighthouse and Castlerock and only a short 5 minute drive to the Castlepoint 9 hole golf course . [The Whakataki Hotel is currently closed and is for Backpackers use only. The batch is only a very short walk from the Castlepoint store and restaurant. The section is fully fenced. Open plan kitchen/living/dining with all basic kitchen essentials supplied along with a gas bbq. A heatpump has been installed to keep you warm in winter, cool in summer and there is a TV in the lounge with Freeview. There is a sky connection but you will need to bring your own decoder. The house can sleep 8 comfortably and has 2 bathrooms. Main bedroom with queen bed, 2 rooms with 2 single beds in each and at the end of the house there is another Queen room . (and additional single bed if required). All beds and pillows have protectors on them and duvets. You will need to bring your own sheets, towels etc. No pets please. No Tents. We charge $200 per night for 2 adults, All additional Adults and Children are $25 per night . There is a minimum stay of 2 nights.
