Suitable only for those with experience with operating generators and cooking on fireplaces. NOTE: CURRENTLY NO GENERATOR AS WAS STOLEN Rustic bach, sleeps up to 7, with 5 in bunk beds plus one double bed. Note, 3 of the bunk beds are in the downstairs room, which has no heating and is also used for storage of tools, so not suitable for children. You will need to bring sleeping bags, pillows, towels, tea towels etc. Built in the early 60’s, with 70s style wallpaper and carpets/cork tiles. No electricity or wifi. Heat, hot water and cooking is done on a wood burner. The water supply is spring fed. You will need to walk up the hill behind the bach to turn the supply to the bach on/off. Generator available for lighting, but best not to try and charge your mobile devices due to possibility of power surges. NOTE: CURRENTLY NO GENERATOR AS WAS STOLEN so please bring your own torches for lighting (no candles to be used due to fire risk) There is no fridge, you will need to use a chilly bin. There is a low pressure shower, but with a limited water supply showers need to be kept ultra short. Access requires an experienced driver and four-wheel drive vehicle. Chains and shovel required in the winter to gain access up steep and rutted access road. Mature trees lining access road can become laden with snow which will fall on road. Absolutely no use of incense or candles and absolutely no smoking allowed, due to fire risk. Fireplace & generator are a risk to small children. Bunk beds do not have railings so top bunks not suitable for small children.
