Small Bach located in the Craigieburn Forest Park. Has views of Mount Cheesman and Broken River ski fields. During the summer months it is a user friendly place to stay with easy access to mountain bike tracks, bush walks etc. Has gas cooking and water heating and a small gas fridge, log burner in the lounge and gas fire in dining room. Deck with BBQ. Sitting just above the beech forest. The nearest store and petrol station is Springfield about 3/4 of an hour drive away. This bach is powered by solar panels and has a backup generator, so it pays to bring about 4 lts of petrol in case you need to use it. During the winter months the water needs to be turned on, and the system drained when you leave. There is a chance of snow and ice on the road which is not cleared in the winter. We recommend that you carry snow chains in the winter. If you have a two wheel drive car you should park in the bottom car park & walk the last 40 meters to the bach up the hill. A basic requirement to stay here is to be able to light a wood burner and follow instructions
