A Cosy and intimate alpine retreat for couples or small family. Something a little special. Our European inspired chalet comprises of two levels and features a bedroom (2 single or one king bed), bathroom, laundry and open-plan kitchen down stairs whilst a spacious, open-plan loft sits on the upper level (King bed). The chalet has European opening and tilting windows with built in insect screens and a full length, north-facing verandah. Heating is by way of a studio wood fire, (if you are unable to operate a fire with confidence please don’t rent), and off street parking can be found at the rear of the chalet. There is a small oil heater in the down stairs bedroom. The chalet is fully equipped and has an outdoor spa bath. (You must shower before use). Castle Hill Village is tranquil with mountain views and our chalet is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac. Alpine walks, skiing, fishing, kayaking, mountain biking, rock climbing and Cave Stream all at your finger tips. Castle Hill is an adventure paradise or a quiet escape and features a community tennis court, basketball half court and children's pump track. A water slide, playground and pétanque court are just a short walk and a rustic golf course awaits just across the road. Arthur’s’ Pass is 30 minutes drive, Springfield is 22 minutes, Porters' ski field 10 minutes, Cheeseman 5 and , Broken River and Craigieburn ski field's are a short drive. Castle Hill village has no shops but Porters's cafe is close by, (Check it is open before you go). Georgie has a coffee cart at the village entrance with exceptional coffee! We have a Bialetti stove top coffee pot. (Please google operation). We trust you will be respectful and leave our place clean and tidy for the next guests. Cleaning instructions are on the fridge. Rubbish and recycling can be deposited in the Castle Hill skips on Luge Loop. Please leave ashes in the fire box. Ashes in the skips have caused fires. We have Wifi and linen is provided. Please bring your own towels. Enjoy.
