One bedroom cedar cottage, nestled into a cottage garden with a path leading to the orchard. The property is set on 1 1/2 acres, fully self contained with one double bedroom and en suite, plus sofa bed in the open plan living area. Lovely warm place to stay in the winter too due to the logfire.
The property is an oasis of a variety of fruits in the orchards which covers the property. Most times of the year there is fruit to sample. At the rear of the property is a stream where the first gold was discovered in New Zealand and today you will find crystals there.
Also within walking distance (5 mins) is the famous Driving Creek Railway, where Barry Brickell a world renowned Potter has established a truely fasinating environment, with potters, and the world famouse railway, a new Wildlife Conservation Project and soon to be opened Art Gallery not to forget the fabulous views out to the harbour & Islands. Also see the restablishment of native tress and wild life. Stop for as coffee at the funky cafe next door.
The historic village of Coromandel is under 3km, with fabulous restuarants and interesting shops. The cottage is 10 mins to the closest beach or under 30 mins to beautiful Whangapoua and Matarangi Beaches on the east coast.
