Scenic views of the lake. Abundant bird life including coots, dabchicks, swans, scaups, tuis, and fantails.
A short walk to the local cafe, and close to numerous local walking tracks. 3 kayaks available to use, adult lifejackets supplied.
We ask that you leave the house clean and tidy for the next guests. ( Cleaning supplies and equipment provided.)
Special Attractions and Activities Nearby
Close to all the attractions that Rotorua has to offer. Rotorua is 20- 30 minutes away. Agtrodome, Paradise Valley Springs, Mineral Pools at Polynesian Spa to soak in, Skyline Skyrides - Gondolas up the hill to a restaurant, and a luge track down.
NZ Maori Arts and Crafts Institute at Whakarewarewa which has guided tours through the thermal area.
Rotoiti hot pools which are only accessable by boat, trout fishing, white water rafting, and the Redwoods for biking and hiking.
Tauranga is 45 minutes, Mount Maunganui and Papamoa beaches and shopping areas 35 minutes away.
Hobiton is a day outing, Whakatane and Ohope beaches are only 1 hour drive.

We had a fantastic stay at this holiday house. The property was warm, beautifully appointed, and incredibly welcoming from the moment we arrived. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided, making it feel like a true home away from home. The décor was stylish and cozy, and the overall atmosphere made for a very relaxing break. Highly recommended.

The best indication of this house being everything we wanted was the fact we booked a second stay two weeks later. Owners are very helpful, honest and even alerted us to bad weather coming, in case we wanted to postpone. The location is top class, not just for the fact you're right on the lake to enjoy birdlife, kayaking in the sun and incredible sunsets from the deck but to be bordering a reserve with walkable access to award winning cafe/beer garden, Okere Falls Store AND nearby waterfalls through forest walks. It was comfortable, easy, fully stocked - I don't think there's anything I'd change. I can't wait to get back for a third time!
