Special Amenities

Sited on the edge of a reserve, and in an established area of the Castle Hill Village, Torlesse Lodge has great mountain and forest views from the main lounge, outdoor areas, and bedrooms. There are two bedrooms with queen beds (one upstairs, one downstairs), and two upstairs bedrooms with two single bunkbeds in each. A second living area/bedroom downstairs (a great area for kids) has a double fold-out sofa bed and two single bunks with a TV and sound system. The top bunk beds have foam mattresses and are more suitable for children. All beds have down duvets and, for the warmer months, there are lighter bed covers. Two bathrooms, both with shower & toilet (one upstairs, one downstairs). There is a fully equipped open plan kitchen area, leading into the warm and cosy open plan living area with log burner & double glazing and a heat venting system to the upstairs bedrooms. Also, a drying room to sort out those ski boots and damp clothes. Attractive private outdoor area with outdoor furniture and gas barbeque. TV/DVD in both living areas (TV with Sky digital with your own decoder). Tennis court & petanque area in the village, along with a rustic 9 hole golf course, and good tracks for walking, running, and mountain biking. The Castle Hill Village playground is just across the street from the house and is a great spot for children. Great, place loads of space for everyone in a quiet corner of Castle Hill

Great house in a beautiful location.

Good value for the nightly rate The house would be a little crowded if the full quota of 12 were there, but for our party of 6 single's it worked well. Downstairs has one double bedroom and the other room is a garage conversion with separate shower and toilet rooms. The upstairs has a more traditional layout with two bunkrooms and a double bedroom, bathroom/toilet with shower. Room for only two vehicles by the house but plenty of space out on the road. Overall great value and a comfortable house, owner was an excellent communicator and generously allowed us a late checkout.
