We are very sorry this guest was unhappy with their arrival experience. This is the first complaint of this nature we have received, and we were naturally very concerned when it was raised. Once we were contacted, we acted promptly by sending a cleaner to the property to assess the issue and assist. We also tried to work with the guest to find a practical solution, but unfortunately they were not especially receptive to our attempts to help and chose to leave for alternative accommodation before we were able to resolve the matter on site. A refund was arranged via the booking platform by us. While we regret that this guest had a negative experience, we do not believe the comments about our conduct reflect the full circumstances. We have always taken pride in being responsive and helpful hosts, and this is not representative of the feedback we usually receive.
