Our large architecturally designed home is situated in the main part of Ngakuta Bay where the sandy swimming beaches and boat ramp are,[ not in Little Ngakuta].The property is a wonderful private resort style getaway not just for summer but also a special winter retreat as the house and section are very sunny and warm. The home is set in 1/2 an acre of private, nicely landscaped grounds ,and is a 2 mins timed flat walk to the sandy safe swimming beaches of main Ngakuta Bay and only 1 mins from 2 excellent mountain biking /walking tracks that have wonderful panoramic views over QC sound equal to anything on the the QC track. Ngakuta bay is a very pictureque bay situated 15 mins drive from Picton in the prime area of Queen Charlotte sound.A large grass reserve leads to the sandy swimming beach. Our bay has a large newly constructed jetty which is great for loading up the boat,fishing from or simply relaxing and taking in the gorgeous views of the bay.Launch your boat from the boat ramp to further explore.The bay has 2 excellent mountain biking/walking track that have spectacular views over Queen Charlotte sound. Our property has a large flat lawn surrounded by 1600 sq meters of private landscaped gardens, and is fully fenced. All 3 living areas open out to attractive decks [at ground level] and a lush courtyard BBQ area offering you many out door places to sit and relax. We can make up a 4th double room if requested by joining 2 single beds in the 3rd bedroom. The kitchen is very well equipped for large groups, there are 2 large fridge freezers to provide you with plenty of cold storage saving you trips back to Picton to restock. Should you strike a wet patch of weather the 3 spacious living areas provide you with plenty of indoor space. For indoor entertainment we have 2 widescreen TVs,sky digital 40+ MULTI ROOM including sky sports 1,2,and 3[ So there is no need to argue with the children over the channels!!]. Table tennis and a selection of children's books and toys are in the spacious playroom. A 14ft round trampoline with pads provides extra entertainment for the children. Take our 2 kayaks to the beach to explore.It is well worth the effort as it is common to see dolphins and seals up close in and around our bay. Ngakuta bay is renowned for its picturesque scenery.This area has won NZ tourism awards and international recognition for its beauty which makes kayaking, boating and walking in this area a unique experience. The bay has an excellent boat ramp and jetty, ski lane and a large grass reserve. Fish such asTarakihi,Gurnard,Kawhawai Snapper, and spotties have all been caught from the jetty.Scollops collected in season close by. The start of the wine trail is a short 30 mins drive away. Queen Charlotte track 12 mins. Picton 15 mins Many large groups have commented on how spacious the house and grounds are making this property a popular spot. Early booking for the months of Nov to April and school holidays is recommended as we get heavily booked well in advance.
