We had a really amazing family holiday at Tirohanga with our two small children. The property is amazing with the best views in the bay, and equipped with everything you could need and more. What really makes this place really great though are Marg and Leith, who are the best hosts and will make you feel so welcome. Their generosity and helpfulness is truly special and we were sad to leave! We'll be returning for sure.

What a delight, from start to finish and across all fronts! Hosts Margaret and Leith were incredibly welcoming, helpful, and accommodating throughout our stay. The accommodation itself was pristine, modern, quiet, well-appointed, and offers a jaw-droppingly beautiful view of Okiwa Bay and Grove Arm. Plenty to do or do nothing at all, it’s a perfect place to enjoy no matter the pace. We will definitely be back again as soon as we can!

We had a fantastic stay at Tirohanga. The accommodation, amenities and service is definitely five star and right up there with the best we have experienced both in New Zealand and abroad. We had, like many people in New Zealand at the moment, not been away for a while and needed a place to relax and charge our batteries. Tirohanga in Tirimoana the Marlborough Sounds along with hosts Marg and Leith was definitely the correct choice. While the web site talks to the area, accommodation and amenities you need to go to the feed-back reviews to get an idea about the hosts and we have to say that we totally agree those positive reviews in that Marg and Leith were great value. Right from the kick off they made sure we had everything that we needed and invited us to drinks and nibbles later on that night. We went on to find that both Leith and Marg were excellent hosts with great local knowledge, attention to our guest type requirements including entertainment. We will not forget: • The music night. • Leith patience while we mastered the electric bikes. • The sounds boat trip right round all the local inlets and bays, {Marg and Leith’s knowledge of the area was vast}. Both picnic stops while aboard the boat, {Leith’s date scones were a delight}. The stop at a local marine reserve where Virginia was able to feed and pet the quite large blue cod,{we have pictures and video footage}. • The road trip tiki tour from Tirimoana to Havelock, Blenheim, Picton and back, {again Marg and Leith’s knowledge was great}. We were relaxed with our batteries recharged. We will be back. Peter and Virginia Borley
