Amazing 180 degree views and we pretty much had the beach to ourselves. Very comfy bed and duvet with spectacular sunrise views from bed. Great to have the heat pump and use of the car and kayaks.

This was our 2nd stay at Awatea and again it was a fantastic place to stay for our family of 6. They provide you with a free 7 seater vehicle which is perfect for the quick trip to town and exploring the Island. Just fill it up when you leave. The house is right opposite the beach with stunning views and Kiwi running around at night. Fully equipped kitchen area with excellent new oven. Basic supplies in the pantry to use. Large covered outdoor BBQ area. Bedrooms are spacious cozy. We used the kayaks to fish for blue cod with hand lines straight off the beach. There was a resident Kaka who flew on to the balcony each day for a slice of apple. Books, games and puzzles for rainy days. This house has everything you need for a fantastic holiday. The 4 Square shop in town is open 7 days and supplies all food items and fresh produce. The 2 cafes, The Snuggery and the Butchery have delicious food as does the Pub. Don't miss quizz night, it's a hoot.
