Biking, walking, fishing activities available.Hastings Farmers Market, 7 golf courses within the district. 40 minute walk to the top of Te Mata Peak (Panaramic views of the region). 10 min stroll to the village for upmarket restaurants, famous Pipi's Pizzas, Events Movie Theatre, Outdoor and Indoor Swimming Pool. Coffee shops,Organic Shop. On Saturdays there's Black Barn Market at their winery, with an abundance of local fare and hospitality, on Sunday its a 10min drive to the Tomoana Showgrounds, from which there is the Hastings Farmers Market, that runs every Sunday and in the winter is housed under the Grandstand ,A Must Do if you are in The Bay ,closes at 1pm

Beds were very comfortable and good shower I would recommend anyone wanting to rent 2 rooms to clarify situation

The guest had booked two rooms going self contained Both rooms have their own separate bathrooms including showers. The guest asked what time was breakfast,when breakfast wasnt selected at time of booking. The guest has poor comunication skills,as I had texted them about the breakfast option and a copy of their booking,which detailed going self contained. I got no response. In addition the guest borrowed a book from the Cottage We'd like you to return it please Thank you Malcolm & Anna

We had an incredible time during our stay at Guthrie Cottage! The rooms were comfortable, the location was convenient, and the amenities exceeded our expectations. We would definitely consider coming back for another getaway in the future!

A beautiful heritage property which is really well equipped. Stunning gardens & a beautiful verandah to sit out on. Host was really helpful & very kind when I’d left the lights on on my car all night. He provided really good ideas for what to do & see. Really good value for money. Would highly recommend.
