There’s something a little different about The Hideaway @ Whanga. Made up of separate cabins gathered around a large covered deck, it has a relaxed, almost glamping-style feel – with all the comforts you need for an easy beach holiday. The spacious covered deck is the heart of the property, connecting the different spaces and creating a real indoor-outdoor feel. Settle into the outdoor couches, share meals around the outdoor dining table or fire up the BBQ and relax with a glass of wine. The sleeping cabin is made up of two internally connected bedrooms. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan - and there is a toilet in one of the rooms. A separate living and dining cabin provides a comfortable place to unwind with a SMART TV and Sky Basic, while another cabin houses the modern, fully-equipped kitchen and main bathroom with shower and toilet. The cabins are fully glazed for extra warmth, with heaters also provided. Adding to the classic beach-holiday feel is a tucked-away outdoor second bathroom with shower and toilet – perfect for rinsing off after a day by the water. The Otahu Estuary is nearby and Whangamata Beach is just a short stroll away. The cafés, shops and restaurants of town are also only a short drive away. Pets are welcome by request prior arrangement only. Please discuss this with us before booking. While the property is fenced, some sections are around chest height - the rest is higher - and there are a couple of small gaps in the older fencing that a determined small dog may be able to get through. A pet-fee and pet-bond will apply. The property is on a shared driveway and whilst private, there are neighbours nearby. Quirky, casual and full of character, this is a true Kiwi beach escape with a fun cabin-style twist.
