About this Holiday House
Escape to your own perfectly private, freshly renovated bach just steps from the sand. Designed as the ultimate getaway for couples, our cozy spot is nestled in the heart of Waimarama, Hawke's Bay. Just a 2-minute stroll (180m) separates you from Waimarama Beach.
THE SPACE:
The renovated bach is a bright, thoughtfully designed two-level space. The ground floor features the main open-plan living and kitchen area, while the private bedroom is upstairs.
The Kitchenette is fully equipped with a convection oven, a two-burner stovetop, a full-sized fridge, toaster, and kettle. We supply complimentary coffee pods, plunger coffee, tea, and essential salt and pepper.
Relax in the Living Area on the comfortable sofa (converts to a double sofa bed on request) with a small TV and Chromecast.
The Bathroom includes a vanity, toilet, and shower. It is stocked with quality shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. We supply bathroom towels, face cloths, and a hairdryer.
The timber staircase leads up to the bright, private upstairs bedroom. This room features a Queen size bed and a small sofa (which converts to a single sofa bed), plus a TV with Chromecast.
Please Note: Due to the A-frame ceiling, guests must be mindful of their heads in certain areas of the upstairs.
FLEXIBLE CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT: Our Standard Checkout is 12:00 PM, giving you extra time to relax. Flexibility for early check-in or an even later checkout is often possible! Just let us know your travel plans when you book, and we will happily accommodate you if our calendar allows.
LOCATION: You'll find we are perfectly positioned for exploring the best of the region. The Waimarama Store and Fish & Chip shop is just a 1km walk away. We are close to world-class vineyards, including Craggy Range (21km) and Black Barn Vineyards (25km). The town of Havelock North is a 25-30 minute scenic drive.
GUEST ACCESS:
You will have exclusive access to the entire cottage and your own dedicated, fully fenced private outdoor area. Enjoy secure off-street parking for one vehicle inside your gated area (1m high front gate). Feel free to use the Weber Q BBQ and the refreshing cold-water outdoor shower after the beach. Self check-in is standard via your private entrance.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
PRIVACY AND NOISE: We live on the same property but ensure your total privacy. Your area is fully fenced and securely gated with its own entrance. We are quiet people and our backyard is situated at the other end of the property so you generally will not hear us. But please be aware we will make general noise as we come and go from the property and our tractor/boat may be started up early in the morning if fishing (especially during the summer holidays).
Our bach is located right on the roadside. While the downstairs living area is double glazed to help ensure a quiet stay, being so close to the road and beach means you will hear occasional road noise or boat tractors passing by or start up early in the morning.
PET POLICY: Well-behaved pets are welcome! Bookings are requested (not instant) so you can advise on the number and breed of your pets. Our two friendly dogs cannot access your area, but our sweet cat might stop by for a pat!
SMALL FAMILIES WELCOME: While ideal for 2, we can set up a single fold-out bed for a child/extra guest in the main room, or the double sofa bed in the living area (at an extra charge). Please inquire when booking.
