London Retreat house rules
• Both properties are smoke free. Any remedial action required to remove odours after guests have left will be billed to the guest. If a guest must smoke then it is to be outside; cigarette butts are to be collected and put in the rubbish. Cigarette butts are not to be flicked into the garden areas.
• While there is a cleaning fee charged, if the property is left in an inconsiderate and excessive mess then additional cleaning expenses may be sought. The expectation is that the house will be left in reasonable order – the kitchens tidy, rubbish left in the garages as per the house manual.
• There are to be no candles in the houses due to the fire risk and damage from dripping wax.
• We expect minor breakages such as glasses but anything significant must be reported to Management as soon as possible, out of respect for your Hosts. 'London Retreat' Management reserve the right to charge the guest for repairs as they see fit.
• Queenstown Council regulations specify that holiday rental guests are not to use outdoor areas such as the balconies, barbecue areas and the hot-tubs, between 10PM and 7AM to prevent noise issues.
• Strictly no parties. Guests not adhereing to this rule will be evicted and forfeit the rest of their rental paid. We mean it.
• Only registered/paid guests may stay at the properties. Should Management of London Retreat Management become aware of a breach of this rule (as in more people at the house than the number booked and paid) the guests will have 2 hours to rectify the situation or face eviction.
• Guests use the hot tub/spa pools at their own risk. Children must be attended at all times, at arm's reach.
• Guests use the wood fires at their own risk and are advised that any damage to the properties from misuse of the fires will be billed to the guest. Guests are not to attempt to cook on the wood fire nor burn rubbish, nor attempt to remove the ashes.
• London Retreat Management accept no responsibilty for for any loss or damage to the guest's property while staying at 'London Retreat'.
• Children and families are welcome but London Retreatv Management make no statement, implied or otherwise as to the suitability of the property for children. There is a travel-cot and high-chair available on request at an additional cost (NZ$50) but there no other particular safety features, other than smoke alarms in all the bedrooms. Parents/guardians must be responsible for keeping their children safe from such hazards as the stairs, the wood fire, the hot-tub, heated towel rails and other hazards found in a home.
• We ask that guests keep the property secure when they are out and ensure heaters, electric blankets etc are turned off. Guests need to be sure the wood fire has been turned down and is safe to leave.
• There are remote garage door openers on a key ring available to the guest. This must be left in the property upon vacating. Failure to do so will incur a $150 fee for a replacement.
• Please note that check-out time is 1000AM and check-in time is after 3PM. There may be opportunity for late check-out or early check-in however; please enquire.
In the kitchens of the property there is a 'house manual' with information, in alphabetical order, detailing pretty much everything there is to know about the house. It is anticipated that guests will refer to this before operating applicances etc. Damage the result of incorrect use may be billed to the guest.
