Located right on the reserve and only 2 minutes from Omaha Beach.

Omaha Beach and the Matakana Region have so many activities on offer including 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, bowling greens, as well as a safe harbour, for all the water sports, boating, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, windsurfing, to name a few. There is also an all-tide boat ramp for large or small craft. For the land-based fisherman there are some great fishing spots. The village of Matakana offers an enjoyable way to spend a few hours, and the Saturdays Farmers Market is not to be missed. It will be hard to choose where to have that coffee or ice cream. If wineries are on your must do list, there are a number to choose from, or you can take the Wine Trail shuttle, for a relaxed approach to wine tasting. Goat Island is a popular area especially for snorkeling and tramping, on the way home why not try the Leigh Sawmill Café. For the surfers, fisherman, and hikers there’s the Regional Park at Tawharanui.
