Located on the water front at Point Wells, this lovely board and batten home is only metres from the water’s edge. Point Wells is a classic New Zealand small coastal village, located 1 hours drive north of Auckland, 10 minutes’ drive from Matakana Village, and 10 minutes from Omaha Beach. The house has stunning harbour views, and you can swim in front of the house for 2 hours either side of high tide. The area has great walks, and lots of interesting local places to explore including: Leigh (20 minutes’ drive), Pakiri beach (30 minutes’ drive), Tawharanui regional park (30 minutes’ drive), Kawau Island etc. Point Wells itself has a local store (excellent coffees, home baking, and takeaways), a quaint community library and tennis court (free to use), and two children’s playgrounds. There is a public boat ramp 6 houses along from ours where you can launch a boat 2 hours either side of high tide – outside of these times, boats can be launched from Omaha (10 minutes’ drive). The house itself is two storied with a bathroom and 2 bedrooms upstairs (one with a Queen bed, the other with a King and a king single), the master bedroom and another bathroom are located downstairs. There is a large kitchen family room facing the water, and a smaller formal lounge. Two decks enable you to make the most of the sun.
