About this Holiday House

Right on waterfront of the estuary at Pataua South, Whangarei. Four bedroom, two bathroom house, sleeps 8 people - max 6 adults. House is very well-equipped and comfortably furnished. Ideal for relaxing family holidays, the large living/dining/kitchen room opens onto beachfront deck, with high tide just 4 metres away. Pataua North surf beach 15 mins' walk and very safe Frogtown ocean beach is 10 mins' walk. NOTE house sleeps 8 in total with a maximum of 6 adults as one bedroom has bunks suitable only for children. Rates are based on guests leaving the house as clean as they found it and include bed linen and towels. Payment is by direct credit via internet banking: 25% payable on acceptance of booking. 75% balance payable 2 weeks before arrival. Standard check-in: 3pm Standard check-out: 10am

Special Amenities

Two-storey house with large living/dining/kitchen room that opens onto deck and lawn area on very edge of Pataua estuary. House also has large first floor deck. double carport with electric vehicle charging point, two kayaks for guests' use, lawn area with parking for extra cars and boat. Boat ramp a few metres away. Kitchen is very well equipped and all linen provided.

Special Attractions and Activities Nearby

Very safe beach and swimming at the door, suitable for children.Two ocean beaches within walking distance. Pipis and cockles in the estuary's sparkling clean water. Supermarket, cafe, pub, golf all within 15 mins drive. 30 mins drive from central Whangarei.

Great location, only steps from the water for swimming and seeing sting rays. Plenty of space and had everything that what we needed. The use of kayaks was a bonus. However....we. did find all the "do not" notes excessive.

I'm glad you seem to have enjoyed your stay. Re the "do not notices" mostly about the horror of sunscreen damage - after 12 years of having guests at The Greenie, I could add another dozen or so, given what bizarre things people do!

NOTE 2: Apart from entertaining a small no of visitors for say a lunch or afternoon, NO PARTIES are to be held at the property, without specific permission of owner.
NOTE 3: No. of people staying strictly limited to no. specified in original booking. Guests must sleep in the house, with no tents, caravans or camper vans permitted.
NOTE 4: A bond of $200 is payable by first-time guests, refundable after departure, once property has been checked for any damage/breakages.
PAYMENT TERMS: 25% deposit payable when booking accepted. Balance plus bond payable 2 weeks before arrival. All payments via internet banking.
