• Absolute waterfront • Private retreat ideal for keen fishermen • Historical building at Parengarenga Harbour This historical private retreat is nestled on the shores of the magical Parengarenga Harbour, Mangrove Bach is one of Northlands best kept secrets according to former guests! Mangrove Bach is the perfect getaway for friends, family and keen fishermen. Full of character and charm, Mangrove Bach is an open plan bach with cottage décor and exposed native timber interior throughout. A shower over a nice deep bath is there to relax in at the end of the day; the flush toilet is outside in a separate shed. The Bach sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms and full linen and towels are supplied for your stay. Mangrove Bach is positioned in an excellent location, placed beautifully for maximum sun. Step from the bach to the water to swim, fish, collect oysters or launch your boat with a 4 wheel drive. Boat access is at high tide only in front of Mangrove Bach. The channel is approximately 500 metres at low tide which guests can walk to. Enjoy the company of the local ducks and chickens who like to visit. Please Note: The key for the boat ramp is no longer available. Enjoy the Far North sub-tropical weather with some of the best fishing spots in the north nearby. A 15 minute drive will take you to the local dairy at Waitaki Landing and 30 to 40 minutes drive away is Cape Reinga, Spirits Bay and Ninety Mile beach. There is now a large chest freezer where you can store your bait! There is no charcoal BBQ available however if guests wish to bring their own gas BBQ, gas will be provided. Coastal Holiday Homes manages this property on behalf of the owners. Our local Holiday Home Manager and team of professionals are available to help with any issues or questions during your stay. We provide linen and towels and arrange cleaning of the home after your departure. Please note that there may be an additional charge for this service. With a Coastal Holiday Homes managed property you can be confident that the home is well maintained and cleaned to a high standard.
