Looking out over Brooklyn to Wellington City and beyond, this classic 1907 villa retains many of its original features whilst being fully modernized to today's standards with open plan living, new kitchen and bathroom, 3 bedrooms, a mezzanine studio/sleep-out, heating and full insulation. Being close enough to the city to walk or drive this home is a great place to base yourself whilst enjoying all Wellington has to offer and still being able to relax away from the bustle and noise of the city. The Brooklyn Villa consists of 3 bedrooms + mezzanine sleep-out, and can accommodate up to 6 guests. The living, kitchen and dining areas are all modern and open plan. The kitchen is recently installed and equipped with Smeg appliances, including a freestanding 6-burner gas cooker, double butler's sink, coffee machine, Sodastream, juice-maker. The dining area has an 8-seater dining table and opens up via French doors to an upper deck with outdoor seating with expansive views up the Hutt Valley with a sneak peak of Wellington Harbour, perfect for relaxing after dinner with a coffee or enjoying brunch in the morning sun. The living area has two comfortable sofas and a 55" 4K TV with Vodafone TV, Netflix and an Xbox One X.The spacious master bedroom has a queen bed facing two beautiful bay windows, it also features built-in wardrobes, a 49" TV with Apple TV. The second bedroom has a double bed, built-in wardrobes and corner window with great views and boasts two traditional stain glass windows. The king single room is light and spacious and gets great sun due to its' skylight. There is a large bathroom with a deep French cast-iron bath big enough for two. There is also a separate dual glass shower cubicle, with floating vanity and WC, as well as underfloor heating and towel rail. Outdoors an additional 80m2 rear deck which is perfect for BBQ’s and soaking up the sun, whilst the front wrap-around deck is perfect for relaxing with a gin and tonic in the late afternoon. There's also the bonus extra of a mezzanine sleep-out, with ample space for a home office away from the house, and a mezzanine double bed in the ceiling space. Brooklyn itself is just a 4 min walk from the house and is home to the Penthouse Cinema which shows a great selection of art house films and current releases. The Penthouse also has a restaurant and a great selection of light meals. The Salty Pidgin restaurant also a 4 mins walk away and does excellent food and wine, perfect for an evening meal. The Brooklyn Deli is great for brunch and sells delicious Austrian bread and deli items to take away. The Brooklyn Bar and Bistro does a good selection of beers and shows most sporting events on the big screen. The village also has Caribe coffee shop, library, chemist, two local foodmarkets, a BP petrol station, pie shop (Sue's Pies, highly recommended), an Indian restaurant, 2 x fish and chip takeaway, Indian takeaway, Burger Wisconsin and liquor store. Vogelmorn Tennis and Bowls is only a short walk away too, as well as plenty of wonderful local walks. It takes less than 5 minutes to walk into Brooklyn, a fringe suburb situated just 30 mins walk or a 5-7 minute drive to Wellington City. The number 7 bus runs from the village to the centre of Wellington, every 5 mins in peak times and every 20 min off peak, the first being at 6:30am, and the last around 11pm. An Uber costs between $6-13. Brooklyn is a picturesque 20 min drive from the airport via the beautiful coastal bay road. It's a little bit shorter to go through the tunnel but depending on traffic it may actually take longer.

An additional damage waiver bond of $400 may be required for 'weekend only' and groups of '4 or more' stays and will be refunded within 5 working days of your departure if there are no damages. The house is inspected before and after each stay and any missing items or excessive cleaning will be charged.
Cleaning fee is $85.00.
