Kupe’s Baches are situated at the bottom of the North Island in the Wairarapa region, with 200 acres of bush behind them directly adjacent to the “Aorangi Forest Park”. This dark, pristine Aorangi Forest Park being the core of our “Dark Sky Reserve” Kupe's Secret is our newest bach and is nestled in the bush. It is the same layout as Kupe's Retreat only larger. The first bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has a double bunk and single bunk. There is a large carport on the lighthouse side of the bach and a sliding door opens onto a deck area in front with a sea view in the distance. Rates and conditions are the same as Kupes Retreat and Kupe's Lookout. Kupe's Secret is about 800 metres from the lighthouse and a 4 minute walk to the beach.
