Lovely location, very comfortable home. Has everything you could want for a peaceful break. We had to do a couple of days work, the separate study / second lounge was great for that. Then do a quiet walk around the area or sitting by the roaring fire. We had a great break, will definitely look at coming back.

Lovely setting in a peaceful semi rural area with views of the estuary. Was the perfect location for us to balance dipping in and out of Cafe's and dinning experiences so close by in Mapua. Breakfast on the deck overlooking the water and watching the Tui's come into the garden to feed was the perfect start to the day before heading out on day trips up the coast during our stay. The house was immaculate and had everything we could need along with very comfy beds. The only down side was the low level of the high tides over the week mean't it wasn't practical to utilise the kayaks, something we had been looking forward to, otherwise a great stay and would recommend this cottage.

This was such a find! Lovely house, gorgeous views, especially at sunset. Great outdoor area with lots of outside games to keep the kids (and adults) occupied. The veranda is nicely sheltered from the wind and sun in the heat of the day. Extremely comfy beds. The owners do live next door but you wouldn’t know! Lesley greeted us on arrival but then left us to it (but was only a text or call away if we needed her), the house felt completely private due to the position and gorgeous established gardens. Also loved all the local art and sculptures in the house and garden, many made by the owners. Such a nice touch! Can’t wait to come back again soon.
