This large, open plan, beach front accommodation maximises the views through floor to ceiling patio doors. . The patio doors open out on to one of two private decks and private sand area. At high tide you can kayak, swim or paddle directly from the bottom step. Enjoy a long lazy breakfast on the front deck and soak up the evening sun with a BBQ on the rear deck.. From here you can step out into the Café & Restaurant culture, boutique shopping, listen to the occasional live music or be at peace, relax and bbq within the comfort of The Beach. Curl up on the two new large sofas, watch the 48" tv with sky and sky sport or just drink in the view. There is a queen bed open plan with screen and a split king bed in enclosed room .Though ideally sleeping 4, there are 2 single size foam mattresses and bedding available for younger / extra guests. The accommodation is well equipped to ensure a quality experience. To help you enjoy your time here, Kayaks, life vests, fishing rods, tennis raquets, and golf clubs can be borrowed from us for a nominal, refundable deposit. There are a multitude of wineries, activities, attractions, art galleries and tours in and around Mapua, Tasman region. There is a small supermarket in Mapua, a few minutes walk away, which has a wide range of goods. Plus the usual village amenities. .Motueka, Nelson and Richmond towns are a short drive away. How get here. Picton ferry.... A beautiful crossing from Wellington to Picton on the Interislander ferry, is a great option if you wish to saunter along and enjoy the journey and views. It is then a 2 hour car journey through to Nelson then on to Mapua. Nelson Airport .......27.4km from Mapua. Flying into Nelson airport from any of the major airports also has lovely views and is a quicker option.. Be aware that luggage allowances between International and domestic flights will differ. You can prepay a nominal fee if you know the weight difference or pay a greater fee at the airport check in. . If flying Air New Zealand international and domestic, I believe, this does not apply. Car Hire....You can organise car hire prior to your journey to ensure a waiting car, or pick up a rental on your arrival.
