Quail Cottage is a self contained, open plan, warm and sunny studio in seaside Mapua. With its own garden and sunny deck it is quiet and private. It overlooks Tasman Bay and Mapua Estuary, and stands alone on our 7 acre property. Quail Cottage contains all the amenities for that special hideaway holiday or longer stay. Despite the rural setting it is only a 5 minute walk to the village centre with a small supermarket, the Village Bakery and the boutique brewer Sprig & Fern bar & restaurant. A 10 minute walk takes you to the Wharf with the well known restaurants Jellyfish, Apple Shed and the Smokehouse, and another micro-brewery The Golden Bear. Here also are shops, cafes, a wine bar and you can catch the ferry to Rabbit Island - part of the Great Taste Bike Trail - and hire a bike for the trails. There is room to store your bikes under cover. Mapua is well situated for access to vineyards, potteries, the Abel Tasman National Park, beaches, mountains and rivers - and the Great Taste Bike Trail. Electric cars can charge overnight with a 3 pin plug or a caravan plug. Please note: if using Google's Driving Instructions, please disregard the final "turn into Viewland Place".
