Wake up to the sound of the Rangitikei river and enjoy all round views of open countryside and the white Papa Cliffs. The stretch of water bordering the lodge and it's expansive grounds are exclusively yours for your stay. There is a BBQ and large outdoor picnic tables for your use. All beds required will be fully made with linen, blankets and towels. (The super king doubles can also be made up as singles by request.) Extra linen provided includes all you need in the kitchen and luxury towels for use at river and hot tub. Laundry appliances and soaps etc are provided. There is a hairdryer for your use. Wood is supplied for the large stone fire place and all fire pits including those located down by the river. Marshmallows and skewers are provided!!! There is a large tree covered deck with serving bench for relaxing and picnics at the rivers edge.

Shops: Hunterville township is quaint and historical. Local stores include a book and gift shop, cafes, antiques and collectables, local made designer goods, a settler's museum, community tennis courts (out of school hours) and superb local outdoor pool during summer months. There is also a small loop walk that takes you across a miniature swing bridge, great for young kids. Life size model sheep frequent the pavements which along with a bronze sculpture of local breed of heading dog, the Hunterway, pay tribute to the farming culture of the region. Golf: Rangatira Golf club which has beautiful views and offers 18 holes over three levels of Rangitikei River terraces and a unique cable car ride for access. Short walks: Just south of Hunterville, Bruce Park Loop Track (1.4 kms of easy walk) offers impressive specimins of Rimu, Totara and Kahikatea and a doc challenge for children. Just North of Rathmoy Estate, The White cliffs boulders are an ancient geological phenomenon that create a magical environment set in local woodland. Drive, park and walk with a steep climb down to discover. Mountain biking: Arapuki Forest mountain bike park is 86 kms from us. Ski: A day at the slopes is easy from the lodge with Rahapehu Ski fields either 111 kms or 115 kms from our riverside lodge.
