About this Holiday House

This cosy, classic kiwi bach is sunny and comfortable and is only a 4 minute stroll through a forest track to the surf beach. It has a sheltered deck and courtyard area with an adjacent fenced backyard for badminton or volleyball. There is a large reserve just across the road and it is 3 minutes walk from tennis courts, flying fox, kid’s playground, local store and take-away.

Special Amenities

The bach has a new kitchen with a gas hob and microwave. The lounge has a TV, DVD player, stereo and an “electric fire” for the cooler evenings. The bathroom is modern and spacious. There is a bunkroom for kids adjacent to the main bedroom and a 3 seater sofa in the lounge.

River, beach and forest walks. Swimming at patrolled (summer months only) beach, surfing, windsurfing, tennis, mountain-biking, fishing, white baiting (in season) and kayaking. Only 30 minutes drive to Christchurch city centre, 10 minutes to Rangiora township, 5 minutes to Pegasus golf course and township, 15 minutes to Waipara vineyards, 55 minutes to Hanmer Springs. Bus service to and from Christchurch. Local store, Post Office and take-away.

A great place to stay - all the amenities you need, and a perfect spot for a quick 5 minute stroll to the beach. Located at the quieter end of the village, which is lovely. Hosts are excellent - great contact and lovely people. Thank you for another wonderful Beach break.

One of the cleanest and tidiest houses I have stayed in. Beautifully set up and generous with the bedding and heating which was perfect for a mid winter stay. Great location and quiet street. Would stay again.
