A great casual and cosy place for families/extended families/friends to holiday together. Sleeps 19 people! (Linen is included, $25.00 per person but please bring your colourful beach towels!) There is plenty of parking for the boat and a large seaside lawn meeting a beautiful white sandy beach. Enjoy the stunning unobstructed views of the sand dunes and harbour entrance. A perfect spot… rain, hail or shine to relax and unwind or a fantastic base to explore the Hokianga. There is so much to explore around the Hokianga, from the historic Rawene with the iconic boatshed café over the harbour, through to the Waipoua forest, which has the largest Kauri tree in NZ....Tane Mahutu (Lord of the forest). To name a few in between....there are numerous walks, waterfalls to explore, giant Koutu boulders, fishing, diving, sandboarding down the dunes, or call “Awesome Adventures Opononi” to hire a jet ski! Only a 5 minute walk to the Omapere shops and Copthorne Hotel with a restaurant and bar, or 4 minute drive to Opononi town centre. With the large section you can enjoy a family fun game of cricket, football or put the net up for a game of volley ball. Positioned right on the beach, you can lay on the deck and watch the waves lap on the shore, kids play in the sand while you unwind and capture the spectacular sun sets.
