The river track is less than a one minute walk through the reserve and close to infamous fishing pools such as the Major Jones, Judge's etc. If fishing isn’t your thing the Tongariro Reserve & river track offers great biking & walking for families of any skill level. If coffee is more your thing, you can meander to the creel lodge cafe or bridge lodge coffee cart in under 5 minutes walk. The holiday home sleeps 8 comfortably, so ideal for families, fishing hideaway for a group of friends or those seeking a comfortable, quiet hideaway where you don’t have to drive. This house was built 4 years ago, so has all the modern features you’d expect. You can adapt the sleeping for couples, kids & singles with two bedrooms having fold out beds designed to be used as singles or put side by side. The property is fully fenced, has good parking & includes bikes, bbq & a spacious, sunny outdoor area. Is private down a right of way so is very safe. If you enjoy the lake, Stump Bay is a 5 minute drive away, or enjoy Kuratau or Pukawa beaches 15 minutes drive away. The closest boat ramp is at Tokannau, also close to the hot pools. In the wider area you can get to Mt Ruapehu in 35 minutes, with ski fields & sightseeing on offer and Tongariro National Park which offers the Tongariro Crossing and many more stunning walks. Kaimanawa Forest Park is also close by for biking, hiking or hunting. You can do as much or as little as you feel like. Either way you’ll be warm with a log fire, heat pump & all day sun.
