About this Holiday House

Brand new to the holiday home rental market. Capacity to sleep 2 additional guests from November 25, in overflow room. Directly in front of the beach at Ligar Bay, with stunning views across the bay and the beach from the lounge, dining and kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, large fridge freezer, microwave & gas hob. There are two heat pumps Two toilets, one in the bathroom and one off the laundry. Washing machine and dryer. Two bedrooms, the master can be changed from one super king bed and one single to three single beds A boat up to 6m long can be reversed up the drive or parked parallel to Abel Tasman Drive. No pets, no smoking

Special Attractions and Activities Nearby

Ligar Bay is a wonderful beach to play, swim and walk on. We aim to have 1 adult and 2 children's kayaks, with life jackets by 1 Dec 25. Ligar Bay is great to Kayak around and when the tide is in, you can paddle around to the lagoon at the back of Tata Beach. You can launch your boat at Port Tarakohe and Tata Beach, which are both only a couple of minutes drive away. Other lovely beaches nearby are Wainui Bay, Pohara and Tata Beach. The quirky township of Takaka is only 15 mins drive away. There are endless things to see and explore in Golden Bay. Some of our favourite are Wainui Falls walk and the Abel Tasman walkway starts at the far side of Wainui Bay. Pupu Pupu hydro power station walk, Wharaiki Beach, wallking at Milnthorpe in the native forest and beach. Explore historic Collingwood. Visit Totoranui and Awaroa Inlet can be reached at low tide. There are a number of cafes and restaurants to choose from as well. Or just stay put and enjoy the view at Hop Skip and a Jump.

Well equipped and excellently positioned house meant we had an amazing stay with our 3 youth. Even though the weather wasn't great, we were warm and close to the beach so able to enjoy Paddleboarding around the bay, relaxing walks and coffees in the conservatory while the sun shined... and easily visited the beautiful Pupu Springs and played fetch with seal pups at Wharariki beach on day trips. Warm, comfortable, and extremely enjoyable time with the family. We will be back!

Hop,skip and jump to the beach A winter break. What an amazing joy to sit watching the tide come and go ,the Terns feed and the fish jump all from the lovely conservatory We enjoyed walks to Tata beach ,port Tarakohe and of course on the beach The batch was warm with the heat pumps. Super king bed ,cosy and comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked with crockery etc. All necessary appliances plus dishwasher! The batch was very clean. Good wifi We didn’t mind there was no TV ,we enjoyed reading and chatting Thanks so much

A gem of a holiday home. Spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed. Comfortable beds and nice furniture in the living area. We had lovely weather and could make the most of the conservatory and we only had to cross the road to the beach. Grandchildren could roam the beach safely and even found mussels which they ate for lunch. Would highly recommend this house for a weekend getaway or a longer holiday.
