TRAINS & TRUCKS & VIBRATIONS:
Post Offices of course were traditionally always built on main roads, which have oftentimes over the past century turned into main highways. Being on the corner of Owhango Rd and State Highway 4, there is traffic noise.
Also, because Owhango is all built on volcanic pumice rock, the entire Village vibrates when trains pass through (and it has done for more than a century).
Many guests love the sound and vibration of the trains passing ... like being part of your own 1920s Agatha Christie novel!
We do hope you will all enjoy embracing this authentically Owhango Ruapehu experience! ??
