The main Cherith House is a spacious Lockwood-style with four bedrooms (beds for up to 9!) and all the comforts of home. There’s space for everyone – from the kids to nana and grandad. The massive sunny deck is made for BBQs and good yarns, while the safe, sheltered beach is ideal for swimming, exploring, and launching the 2 kayaks and 2 small dinghies included. Have your own boat? There’s a deep-water jetty and 2 moorings too! Adventure awaits right at your doorstep: fish, wander through native forest walks, spot shags nesting nearby, or just chill out to the sound of bellbirds, tui, and the bubbling stream. There’s access to the famous Queen Charlotte Track (heads up – it’s steep and for the fit!), and you’re only a scenic 30-minute boat ride from Picton. Having no road access adds to the tranquillity, but no worries – water-taxi services run from Picton several times a day. Need even more room for cousins, mates, or the in-laws? Definitely a cook’s kitchen – plenty of crockery, glassware and cooking equipment. • Lounge/dining room with TV and log burner. Deck and log burner safe for young children. • 2 bathrooms, each with shower and toilet. Separate laundry. • Guests supply their own top and bottom sheets, pillowcases & towels. Cherith Cottage facilities: • 2 bedrooms in cottage – 1 queen, 1 set of bunks • Newly build sleepout nearby with 2 bedrooms - 2 singles, 1 single and set of bunks • Kitchen with fridge / freezer, stove, microwave and all utensils. • Lounge/ dining room has a log fire. There is no TV – enjoy family games or just the serenity. • Covered deck with ocean views, outdoor furniture and BBQ. • External laundry with 2nd fridge/freezer. • Situated close to the beach, so is ideal for those who find walking up the hill difficult. • Guests supply their own top and bottom sheets, pillowcases & towels. Other facilities: • Two double kayaks and 2 small dinghies are supplied at no extra charge. • Two moorings, suitable for 10 m and 13 m vessels. Enquire if you have a larger vessel we may be able to arrange something. • A sturdy jetty, shared with two neighbours. Sometimes good fish can be caught right from the jetty! • Cellphone coverage is available at both properties. There is no wifi. • Cherith House and Cottage can be rented together or separately. • A cleaning service may be available. This must be pre-arranged. Please enquire if interested. There are no shops nearby, so you need to bring all your food and supplies with you. Picton Fresh Choice supermarket has a great online shopping service, and will deliver groceries next-day via water-taxi. • Payment will be made to our bank account. Credit cards not accepted.
