Ocean Beach Eatery, a great cafe and bar, is located 150 metres along Signal Street. The beach itself can be accessed via a short walk up Trafalgar Street (350m) or via Ocean Beach Street (500m). Mr Grumpy's fish ‘n chip shop and the local 4 Square supermarket are both within a 3 minute car ride. The Manawatu Marine Boating Club is also within walking distance along the estuary frontage, and offers both bar and dining facilities.
