Our family couldn't speak more highly of this property, we would recommend it to anyone. Everything about this place is just perfect. We were a family of eight adults and a 15 month old, the layout and room was perfect. Not to mention the amazing views and location. We would also like to mention your managers, the most lovely and warm couple, willing to help with anything. You are very lucky to have these amazing people manage your stunning property. Will definitely stay there again.

We had the best time in Rarotonga and the Bay Island Villas were a really big part of the experience. The Villa is amazing, in perhaps the best location on the island. It is on a slightly raised headland at the end of Muri Beach looking along the beach and out over the water to Taakoka Island. Down a few steps to the almost private end of the beach. On the road opposite is a restaurant and bar and a few metres south is a supermarket with a great bottle shop and a very good Vietnamese takeaway. The Villa is amazing. Absolutely spacious inside and with wonderful verandas outside and a spotless pool. A retreat for millionaires. Jo and Mike the caretakers were absolutely lovely. Always there when we needed them and invisible when we didn’t. iHalf way through our visit one of our party lost a very expensive hearing aid. On our last day when we were half way to the airport in our taxi Mike passed us on his motorbike and waved us down to hand over the missing item. Jo had started cleaning up after we left and had found it!  I give this place my highest recommendation particularly if you are with friends and are not looking for the usual resort experience.

Sadly, I communicated the below to the owner and have not heard back so am sharing my review. We booked the house for the child friendly, wifi, 4 bed room aspects along with other things. We needed to run our business from Raro while on holiday and sit uni exams. There was no wifi as Vodafone were doing repairs however the owner never told us this. We bought the hotspot data from Vodafone (having relied on the house listing) and discovered there was no internet after trying to connect when we went to ask Jo and Micheal for help. We have an infant and a toddler, still breastfeeding so your suggestion of using other island hotspots is not viable with them in tow. Roaming is expensive and slow alternative that also was not suitable. To be honest, if we’d known we would have booked a different house. We were expecting a four bedroom as advertised, not a three bedroom and flat. So someone had to stay in the flat after the baby went to bed at 7pm . We didn’t feel comfortable leaving the baby in the flat alone, especially after hearing about the recent break in. The children needed to be in the flat and master room as those were the only rooms that had AC (it was very hot). Our toddler fell through the rusty drain grate in the driveway, cutting her leg and ankle (a section the drain cover is broken/ rusted off leaving a sizeable gap). The portacot also had no mattress, it was just the frame and hard base. So this too created problems for us as a portacot was listed. We assumed it was a complete portacot. On some nights the drumming and music from the Mai’s centre was late, we considered this extremely disruptive with young children and putting them to sleep was difficult. It was also disappointing to have to message you on our day of travel to get instructions for checking in. When travelling with children the last thing you want to worry about is hunting down how to get there/in. It would have been good if instruction had been communicated to us before we needed them. However, that being said, the owner was fast to respond to our request for a late checkout and agreed to one. Jo and Micheal were a friendly and wonderful help to us. They tried to assist us in every way they could but unfortunately there were issues their assistance could not fix.
