It is also a great place to go for mountain biking, wharf jumping, swimming, kayaking, fishing, and boating. Hans Bay is also very close to the West Coast Wildness Trail and is a great base for the cycle if you have some support crew! The lake is approximately 15 mins by car from Hokitika.

We really enjoyed our stay at No. 7. A beautiful house with absolutely everything you need, in a great location. Everything was comfortable, clean, and well appointed. The table tennis table was brilliant, the deck was a cosy spot to drink your morning coffee, and the proximity to the lake is ideal (you're close enough to be able to walk, but not on the main road where it can get quite busy during the day). Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent holiday house and good fire, which was especially welcome when it was pouring with rain outside...
