Special Attractions and Activities Nearby
Some of the best water skiing in the south island is to be had at Lake Kaniere. Close to the West Coast Wilderness bike trail so it's a great place to stop for the night between Kumara and Hokitika to get a hot shower and shelter for the night.

Good parking, nice place to stay.
Lake Kanerie is lovely, we kayaked and
swam.
No cell phone or wi fi coverage.
