We had a lovely relaxing time in this cottage, and found the beds to be very comfortable. Not sure what previous reviewer was meaning about them being hard - we slept very well. Thanks Clare and Richard for a great couple of days.
Response from Owner
Thanks for your feedback Gareth and Nic, and we are pleased you had a great time, a shame the weather wasn't the best. We hope to see you again.

This is a beautiful house in a peaceful spot, but the beds were terribly hard and uncomfortable. We were all so sleep deprived we couldn't really enjoy our holiday for a few days. The queen bed had a vintage, green striped mattress with metal springs inside and the bunk mattresses were also vintage, thin and hard. It's such a shame, because the house was so beautifully decorated it was like a dream home and guests were otherwise provided with everything they could possibly want, including lots of games, a choice of coffee makers and heaps of towels.
Response from Owner
So sorry Rose you found the beds uncomfortable, the queen mattress was specially made for the bed 5 years ago and is made of NZ wool, and the bunks had new slats installed in October last year, the mattresses on the bunks are foam and made for bunk beds. We have no vintage bedding. Our apologies that your stay was not as we would have expected.
