About this Holiday House
Mahia Beach's best property. You'll not find a better location than this. A unique, true beach front property. The property is covered by reserve on two sides, including about 20 meters of grass between the house and the beach. The sun sets into the sea directly in front of the house (which is totally unique to the east coast of New Zealand, and which sets it apart from most Mahia Peninsula properties).
The property has loads of charm, with landscaped gardens, large lawns, BBQ area, perfect spot for a volleyball court, and... a superb man cave (ideal for pottering in if the weather is bad). It is ideal for 2 families sharing, or 1 larger family. The four bedrooms are split over the main house (two bedrooms) and the Sunset Shack (also two bedrooms). The Sunset Shack is on the same property and can be hired separately as a self-contained two bedroom unit with kitchen and bathroom.
There are additional mattresses and a fold out couch, which means the property can comfortably sleep up to 10 people.
Once again, this is a totally unique property and one of the best in Mahia - no road in front, huge lawns, unobstructed 180 degree views, loads of character and it gets the last of the sun (not blocked by Mokotahi (the headland), or facing North or East as Mahanga and Te Mahia do).
Notes: you can use the BBQ but we ask that you fill it at the end of your stay (if the previous guests have been naughty and haven't filled, then you might need to fill it at the start of your stay!).
Please bring your own linen. Duvets and pillows are provided, but you'll need to bring sheets, duvet covers, pillow cases, towels and tea-towels.
Please also bring your own stereo (too many have been ruined!).
