First visited in 2019 (see earlier review), we've been back twice since and have already booked to return next year! With the growing trend toward bland and overdeveloped waterfront properties, Bennett Mahia bach is an absolute family treasure, deserving of its own heritage award. Just across the road from a sheltered swimming beach, the no-fuss homeliness of this bach, the family artworks, quirky old books and comfy beds create their own sense of time which is years removed from the pressures of the workaday world. The aspect of this bach is inspired, ensuring protection from the wind while retaining the most glorious ever-changing sea views. Since our last visit a recycled kitchen has been installed, which we think fits well with the overall character of the place. We found it practical to use and easy to keep clean. Being able to bring our own linen and clean the bach ourselves keeps the cost of a family and friends holiday affordable for us, which we greatly appreciate. A heartfelt "thank you" to Jane and family, for sharing your bach in this way. It's a privilege to stay here and we already have many happy memories of our stays in Taylor's Bay.
Best wishes, Robyn.
