Relax in luxury in our beautiful self-contained studio-style cottage in its lovely, extensive and tranquil garden setting whence you can explore the Nelson-Tasman Region and local attractions including wineries, craft breweries, art galleries and craft centres, the Car Museum and its amazing classic cars; go horse riding, tramping, swimming, wind-surfing, kayaking around Abel Tasman NP, or biking the Great Taste Trail, etc. With views to Tasman Bay and Richmond Range foothills the cottage is just 5 minutes from central Richmond with mall, cafes/restaurants and a great library. We are 15 minutes to safe beaches, 20 minutes to central Nelson and less than an hour to beautiful Kaiteriteri, Abel Tasman National Park or Lake Rotoiti; Mapua and Motueka will take 20-30 minutes. Your hosts, Pat and Peter, handy across the way from your cottage, will be happy to help direct you to places and activities you can enjoy. The cottage, in its garden surrounds, provides a retreat where you can put your feet up to watch a favourite movie on TV or DVD or indulge in a glass of local wine whilst gazing upon the garden view to the tune of Tuis and Bellbirds, maybe a pheasant or two and our busy Quail families. Occasionally a kingfisher entertains with his loud calls and recently a couple of Paradise ducks paid us a visit.
