Very clean and great location. Loved having the floating jetty. Thanks
Recently, we spent a glorious weekend at the Black marlin bach on the Kerikeri inlet. The house is a newly renovated kiwi classic done with a tropical theme. The bach is named after the enormous Black Marlin bust that is mounted under the covered deck, it’s worth visiting just to see this fish, caught in 1930. The house is clean and comfortable with a new kitchen and very comfortable new beds. The bach is sunny and warm and we were very grateful for the air-conditioning that kept us cool at night. Whilst the house is great the true magic of the black marlin bach is its waterfront boating and fishing setup. There is a path leading down to a private boat ramp and jetty. The jetty has an all tide pontoon on it. We tied our fiz boat up to it and were able to leave it on the jetty ready for us for the entire stay. There is also a lift and pontoon for jetskis. For guests bringing large boats like launches there are also two deep water moorings right out front. These facilities made it just so easy to head off into the bay of islands or even up the estuary to the stone store. The bach comes equipped with kayaks and dinghies and there are plenty of life jackets. We were also able to bring our dog. The kids even caught a kahawai right off the end of the jetty ! For anyone wanting a great base for boating and fishing in the bay of islands the black marlin bach has it all. Thanks for such a wonderful holiday! Will certainly be recommending the Black Marlin Bach to all :)
