I don't have enough great things to say about our stay in Parua Bay. The area, the cottage the private sandy cove all exceeded my expectations. We have visited in the middle of winter and enjoyed the warm fireplace and cosy beds. We stayed for a long weekend to have a small babymoon and get away from it all and I couldn't have asked for anything better. Our dog Milly was able to join us on the weekend and she absolutely loved the property, the new smells and sounds and freedom of a large "backyard". Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful property!!

I don’t know what the meaning of life is but when you take time out from a hectic life and spend time relaxing at the foot of an ocean or on the doorstep of a forest – you feel like you have come closer to understanding what that meaning might be. This cottage is more than a piece of history with a private beach and secluded bush walks – it’s medication for the soul. The tranquility of this place is heavenly and will help slow down your ‘mental pulse’…as everything lulls you into a state of serenity – whether it’s the silence, the nearby ducks floating in a pond, the view of the ocean, the fresh air or the calm tides at sunset. We checked in as three individuals and each one of us found space for ourselves. Someone would be on the veranda reading a book while someone else would be at the beach walking. The sunroom area was my favourite indoor area. If you sit there in the morning, the sun will beam down on your face and make you feel alive. The private cove has calm water and is perfect for kayaking. You can watch birds nestling around the rocks or little fish splashing around in the water. Hosts, Greg and Marian, were really lovely. They are friendly but will also leave you to your own devices so that you have privacy. None of us wanted to leave when it came to checking out.
