Lakeside Cottage, a luxurious 2 bedroomed fully self contained holiday retreat offers a unique experience, footsteps from a small private lake and moments to Whirinaki Beach. Set on 10 acres, most offering breathtaking sea/rural views of the Bay. In addition to exclusive enjoyment of the lake there are further glorious award winning gardens to explore with an interesting blend of English Cottage and Kiwi Native. For the ultimate in choice, Art Deco Napier, Historic Hastings and Hawke's Bay's World of Wineries are all a short drive away as are various cycle ways.

The Swimming Pool and Spa are located in the grounds of Mike's main home a short walk from the cottage. They are available whenever required and privacy is assured; Rowing Boat for use on lake; Gardens to the cottage are fully fenced and secure.

We stayed at this wonderful holiday house for five nights with our two kids, aged 2 and 5. The house was impeccably clean and had everything we needed, including plenty of space. The hosts Mike and Jan were so welcoming, while also giving us total privacy. We were able to use their pool which was great fun for the kids and a welcome relief from the summer heat! We really enjoyed strolling around the (fully fenced) lake and rowing across the lake in the little dinghy. The kids loved feeding the sheep and ducks. The gardens are really beautiful and the lawn around the house was a safe place for the kids to play. The rumpus room/TV room with smart TV was an added bonus, as was wifi. A really great place to stay and we will definitely return, Thanks Mike and Jan.
