About this Holiday House

'THE FARMSTAY'. Just 12 MINUTES drive north of NAPIER with spectacular RURAL, COASTAL and CITY VIEWS overlooking the picturesque Esk Valley vineyards and out towards the dazzling blue Pacific Ocean beyond. 'THE LODGE' is a private, very well equipped home away from home with a well equiped kitchen, bathroom, one bedroom (kingsize bed), a loft with 2 single beds with tundlers (access via a ladder) and a permanent double bed in the corner of the spacious open plan lounge/dinning area which opens onto a large deck with BBQ facilities for alfresco dinning. We have the best of both worlds here at The Grange!! Only 12 minutes drive from Art Deco Napier. Located within 5 minutes drive to 4 wineries, 2 Art Galleries, 2 Cafes, the famous Eskdale MTB mountain bike Park and for wonderful trout fishing the Esk river. Amazing forever changing views with all four seasons. Don is a third generation Winemaker and very happy to advise on the subject. Four wineries - Two cafes - Trout Fishing in the Esk River - International Mountain Bike Track at Eskdale MTB Park - Bike hire - Whirinaki Beach for Surf cast fishing - Hukareri Girls college - All within 5 minutes drive. Eskdale School - 2 minutes drive. Wonderful coastal walk from Tangio to flat rock and Waipatiki. On farm activities such as bottle feeding the lambs or hand milking the goats ( both seasonal) Wine Tutorials,of tours hosted by Don Evening meals and Breakfasts by arrangement.

Immaculate accommodation with very friendly hosts. Every detail had been thought of to make our stay comfortable. Fantastic views which we enjoyed whilst sitting on the sunny deck, eating meals and drinking the delicious wine recommended by John. The kids loved the animals and the beautiful garden, and we all had some superb bike rides on the many well-maintained bike tracks in the local area. Thanks Ros and John for making us feel so welcome and making our holiday one to remember.

We enjoyed some nice days and pleasant stay with a magnificent view, especially in the mornings when the sunrise comes, you can enjoy the privacy and warmth of the place, thank you very much!...
