Our accommodation is often used for group tours, sports teams, temporary staff accommodation, holidays with friends - we cater for all. This will make the perfect home away from home when you want a break or when you need to vacate your house for a little while. Stay for a little or a long time, we accommodate anywhere from 3 days to long stay with competitive rates. Please enquire for a long stay quote. We are baby and child-friendly - porta-cots are available when requested at time of booking. Pets are not usually allowed , however please feel free to inquire. There are to be no pets on the premises without written approval. Get to the city within 5 minutes. Sumner, New Brighton just a short drive away. A selection of local bars, restaurants, and bars are close by. The mall is a short drive or a walk away and the ice skating rink, and other attractions are in neighbouring areas.

All of our contact with the owner/operators of Apartment 88 prior to check-in was by Txt. with listed host Janine, of Tyler Management Services. Janine was very busy but responded promptly and cheerfully to our request to address a couple of faults, namely a faulty toaster and incorrect wifi password. However, our experiences during our stay at the 5-bedroom apartment we occupied over 8 nights, results in our 3-star rating. A poor decision by the property managers caused the situation we found ourselves in. Prior to check in the managers did not share with us the all-important detail, that a group of 5 tradies had occupied that particular apartment for a 4-month extended lease. They vacated the property the day before we checked-in?? The property should have had a deep clean before allocation to a further occupant. This was not done, though basic housekeeping had been done. We found the apartment tidy, but many upper surfaces throughout were not clean. Everything on the list of 'What this place offers' was correct. The morning of our departure, we left a handwritten feedback report on the dining table for Janine. We hope the points we listed and suggestions we have made for improvements, will be actioned by the management team. Following up on that feedback list, on our return home we phoned the person named as Property Manager, to report our particular concern about the safety of a fault we found with the gas cooker hob. House is good size and pretty ideal for big groups and groups coming for the weekend. Stay was overall enjoyable, close enough to the city centre to easily get a Lime scooter in. Easy communication and check in process. Only downer was that the house itself wasn't very clean when we arrived, clearly hadn't had a vacuum or the surfaces a wipe down and just a bit dirty in general. Clearly missing the clean that you would expect. Ripped, mesh curtains on the sliding door don't exactly give a very welcoming vibe either. Heat pump barely worked as well, not that we particularly needed it but tried to use it when we first arrived and it is pretty useless and effectively does nothing.
Lovely spacious Unit very modern and centrally located. We were able to accommodate 8 members of the family very comfortably. Would recommend staying here, hope to stay again when next in Christchurch.
